    This position is part-time, 20 hours per week


    The National Networks Administrative Assistant shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose:  To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. 


    This position performs a variety of administrative duties. This position requires the ability to manage requests and work tasks supporting 4 national directors.  It requires professional discretion with access and administration of confidential information, as well as the ability to work independently.


    Administrative Support to Directors

    • Coordinate Network Leadership meetings by setting up conference calls, video conferencing capabilities, coordinating meeting times with leadership teams, and sending meeting notices / reminders.
    • Host Network teleconferences, capturing meeting minutes and action items and publishing to the participants.  Follow up on action items, due dates and responses.
    • Maintain network-specific email inboxes, responding or redirecting as appropriate.
    • Monitor Network monthly financial reports produced by the Network Operations Director and assist in the identification and follow up on any anomalies or corrections which need to be made.
    • Provide Expense Report support under the guidance of each Network Director. This may include creating, updating and tracking monthly expense reports.
    • Coordinate all small network gatherings and leadership meetings as requested per Network Director including event planning tasks, lodging arrangements, reserving meeting space, obtaining necessary AV support, meal coordination / reservations, and meeting material preparation.  (Note:  Airline Travel arrangements will be the responsibility of the field staff, not the administrative assistant.)


    Additional Responsibilities

    • Establish and administer a Network Team Space under NavTeams. 
    • Provide the necessary information and training to each Network leadership team member and ensure the Network Team Space is kept up-to-date.
    • Establish and maintain a Network calendar of events, capturing updates from the network leadership teams and directors.
    • Provide Network newsletter support under the guidance of each Network Director.
    • Maintain each Network’s Engagement tool to reflect an up-to-date list of field staff who are engaged with the Network. This will require contacting new staff as they join the US Field organization.
    • Operate as a main point of contact between HQ departments and the Network Directors. 
    • Help direct HQ department inquiries and tasks to the appropriate network and follow up on deliverables.

    Complete special job-related projects and duties as assigned.     


    • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in administrative assistant responsibilities.
    • Excellent communication skills required to work effectively with multiple levels and groups within the organization.
    • Strong multi-cultural and interpersonal skills coupled with self-directed initiative.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and possess the willingness to learn new software as needed.
    • Detail oriented and able to multi-task, receiving requests from several directors and executing them in a timely manner.
