  • Overview

    The Sustained Giving Coordinator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose:  To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. 


    This position is responsible for coordinating projects in the Development department related to donor campaigns.  This position monitors project progress and deadlines as well as manages donor database records and files for exiting staff donors.


    Project Coordination                                                       95%


    • Project coordinator for the sustainer newsletters, Disciple!, and mail packages.
    • Coordinates Tele-Ministry, Sustained giving, and Ministry Partner Development projects in project management software, Basecamp.
    • Responsible for approval of all print proofs and scripts.
    • Coordinate and oversee projects and campaigns for strategic donor retention.
    • Lead and oversee strategic ministry and staff funding projects including but not limited to 5 days of Christmas and Summer Slump campaigns.
    • Manage cultivation and retention lists in CRM software and supports those efforts.
    • Coordinate projects for outside Tele-ministry acquisition, sustained giving, and stewardship campaigns.
    • Attend periodic training to maintain and improve job-related skills.
    • Contribute ideas for campaigns and tests.
    • Participate in developing Sustained giving strategies, and strategic campaigns.
    • Liaison to the various marketing channels and donor teams as needed (i.e. Direct Mail, Digital Funding; Major gifts, Mid-Level, Gift Planning, Foundations)


    Additional Responsibilities                                                      5%            

    • Participate in team meetings and organizational activities.
    • Participate in the annual Plan and Progress Review process with direct supervisor.
    • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


    • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
    • Associate’s Degree in Business or combination of education and/or at least two years of experience in project management.
    • Understands basic accounting principles and can skillfully complete accounting and bookkeeping assignments.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
    • Excellent language, spelling and grammar skills, proofreading experience a plus.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and time.
    • Accurate with details and meets deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
    • Takes initiative, self-starter, anticipates needs and requires little supervision.
    • Enjoys working on a team and adapts smoothly to change.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and cheerful attitude.
    • Ability to learn Workday, Basecamp, and Clearview software and other software as needed.
