Overview

The Donor Services Coordinator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose:  To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. 

 

Provide excellent customer service and act as the primary source of communication for all donors. 

Responsibilities

Donor Relations                                                                                                                                               95%

  • Primary point of contact for donors (via phone, e-mail or in person) providing response to questions, clarifications, or problems related to funding, reimbursements or donations. 
  • Provide customer service support by troubleshooting, researching and resolving problems or issues.
  • Collaborate with Development staff members to ensure cross-training of duties. 
  • Reference the general ledger and generate an adjustment ticket to resolve issues/discrepancies
  • Assist and provide backup support for Development staff as needed.

                                                                                                                                               

Other Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                             5%

  • Participate in team meetings and organizational activities.
  • Attend training for professional development and knowledge in relevant field.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; some college is preferred.
  • Call center and one year of basic accounting/bookkeeping experience is preferred. 
  • Strong customer service and communication skills required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and processing payment technology.  
  • Proven relational and collaborative skills within a team and cross-functionally with other teams.
  • Self-motivated and can work independently  
  • Demonstrated experience to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Overtime may be required at certain times of the year or as special projects arise.
  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
