 The Content Curator shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose:  To advance the gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. 


This position discovers, curates, and catalogs ministry impact stories, ministry resources, and photos for corporate publications, websites, fundraising campaigns, and videos, primarily for the Communications and Development departments.


  • Proactively communicate with ministry leaders and communication specialists to gather story leads (ministry impact stories, photos, and resources).
  • Create a workable system for maintaining relationships with ministry leaders and specialists.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar of regular print and digital communications.
  • Vetting story leads to determine their value and substance.
  • Able to filter stories through a grid of sensitive locations and staff to determine how/if the story can be told.
  • Secure signed consent forms from subjects in stories and photos.
  • Create a list of qualified story leads in time to execute the project/publication.
  • Maintain an archive of stories used in past publications, videos, campaigns.
  • Primary contact for staff to send their newsletters to, regularly promote this resource.
  • Keep up with staff communication via newsletters (print and electronic) and social media posts with an eye for story leads.
  • Contribute to brainstorming meetings regarding events or projects that will require storytelling.
  • Maintain photo library.


  • Belief in and adherence to the Statement of Faith and Mission of The Navigators.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in a related field.
  • Comfortable working with and developing relationships with various personalities.
  • Able to manage multiple projects.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Project management skills.
  • Adept at administrative duties.
  • A self-starter; self-motivated, takes initiative.
  • A collaborative networker; team player.
  • Servant-hearted.
  • Investigative reporter mindset.
