Overview

The Gatehouse functions as a welcome center for visitors arriving to the Glen Eyrie property. The Gatehouse Attendants are a primary point of contact for guests, visitors, donors, potential business, and Navigator employees. This position is a crucial part of the Guest Experience at Glen Eyrie as it is often the first interpersonal interaction a visitor has with our Glen Eyrie Staff.

The Gatehouse Attendant also works occasional shifts at the Glen Eyrie Front Desk working alongside Front Desk personnel, welcoming guests and facilitating their check-in.

Responsibilities

  1. Answering a multi-line phone system
  2. Responding to and managing emergency communication to/between persons on property, Glen Eyrie Management, 911 services and First Responders
  3. Preparing paperwork and documentation for guest interaction
  4. Greeting and directing guests
  5. Checking in guests at the Gate House using our reservation system when Front Desk is closed
  6. Maintaining a Glen Eyrie activity calendar within MS Outlook
  7. Answering general questions and concerns of guests as appropriate
  8. Acting as a Glen Eyrie and Navigators public relations liaison for visitors to the Gatehouse
  9. Determining appropriate access to the property for unannounced visitors
  10. Interacting with other Glen Eyrie departments regarding arrivals of guests and visitors
  11. Interacting with other Glen Eyrie departments regarding guest needs

Qualifications

  1. Demonstrates a sincere and mature walk with Jesus Christ
  2. Willingness to abide by the policies of the Glen Eyrie handbook
  3. Has prior retail or hospitality experience
  4. Must be able to work a flexible schedule: 4 days a week, including mornings, afternoon, nights and weekends. Shifts are regularly 5 or 6 hours.
  5. Strong customer care focus
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  7. Excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new software
  8. Excellent telephone skills
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills
  10. Ability to work unsupervised
