PART-TIME

The Dishwasher shall serve The Navigators and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators calling, values and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.  Each dishwasher’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff, wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and all other cooking equipment. Keep the dish room and equipment clean and organized.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assume responsibility for the cleanliness of all dishware
  • Load, run and unload dish machine
  • Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to their 1st level supervisor
  • Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
  • Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
  • Keep dish room clean and organized
  • Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
  • Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster
  • Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
  • Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies
  • Clean food preparation and production areas as required

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and Food & Beverage Director
  • Support safe work habits and a safe working environment at all times
  • Ensure a safe working environment and attitude on the part of all employees in areas of responsibility

Qualifications

  • Must possess a positive attitude and work well with other team members
  • Must be able to work unsupervised
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with Chefs and dining room personnel
  • Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
  • Be able to work in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • No previous Dishwashing experience required
  • Must adhere to the Navigators statement of faith and handbooks from both the Navigators and Glen Eyrie at all times
